A set of photos from Panda Bear's #neverforget 9/11 show at Governors Island, where the views of Ground Zero and the light tower memorial were crisp and clear, and the sounds were dominated by the hazed dance of Teengirl Fantasy (one of 40 favorite new acts), Portugal's Gala Drop, and of course all that Noah performed, from Person Pitch and Tomboy, etc. Below there's a beautiful minute video of the set by Big Ass Lens, or you can download the entire set from nyctaper.
A note: Noah Lennox performed 9 of Tomboy's 11 tracks, which on a day full of memorials, was certainly a thoughtful and premeditated gesture, in its way.
