Animal Collective mines cohesive beauty out of structure-averse bleeps, snarls, and screams, so making an intergalactic liaison between two fang-led specimens seem cutesy is rather perfect. Initially hiding behind a mask that's part Burger King/part McKinely High Fighting Norseman, out comes our hero, taking his gal pal out for a day of park frolicking; carnival walking; and freaky, extra-terrestrial make-out sessions. It's like Earth Girls Are Easy meets Thelma And Louise. Isn't it romantic?
