On their excellent, highly listenable "rock opera" David Comes To Life, Fucked Up continue to expand and add layers while remaining true to their original core. Outside the sound, I like that since their beginning they've meshed fact, myth, and quasi-fiction into an overall conceptual arc -- see, for instance, the previous "David" songs/titles and this 2007 interview I did with 10,000 Marbles where he pretended he worked a light bulb factory, the job "David" has on the new record. Or just take a listen to the fourth and final pre-release single "Queen Of Hearts."
