New Trolleyvox Video – “Jean Jacket”

Flying turtles, dudes in masks, and a happy refrigerator are just a few elements of the totally tripped out video for longtime Philly rock crew the Trolleyvox's "Jean Jacket." Wait, does a jean jacket make a showing? Not sure... there's a lot going on here: Our workaday protagonist's stuck stamping "shred it" on the things she loves until the song reaches a pause (between that jangly guitar riff) and she avoids becoming one of those mindless mask wearers, landing in a cartoon world where your imagination (and flying turtles) can roam unhampered by stuffy office policies. That's just the beginning; there are a lot of parts to this tune.

Post-transformation, when she shows up in the field in a more colorful dress, why are the Trolleyvox playing in the sky and in the mirrors she walks past to get to the stable where she ultimately locates the light? Who knows. We're currently spinning the song backwards, looking for hidden messages.

The Trolleyvox?s new one's a two-album set, the full-band electric Your Secret Safe and the acoustic Luzerne, which includes songwriter/guitarist/etc Andrew Chalfen and lead singer Beth Filla. Take a listen to one from each below. Hopefully you can guess which song belongs to which album.

The Trolleyvox - "Call On You" (MP3)
The Trolleyvox - "Stomping Grounds" (MP3)

Your Secret Safe/Luzerne is out on Transit Of Venus.
