Last week, we speculated that British shoegaze greats Slowdive might be reuniting. Today, we learn they they are indeed back together — more thoughts on that here — and they’re set to play Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival, which is living up to its reputation as perhaps the best-curated big festival in the entire planet. Primavera just announced the lineup for this year’s festival, which comes to Parc del Fòrum 5/28-31, and Slowdive is just a small part of it. Arcade Fire, the National, and Nine Inch Nails will each headline a day of the fest, and the rest of the lineup is absolutely stacked: Queens Of The Stone Age, Kendrick Lamar, Neutral Milk Hotel, Pixies, Disclosure, Volcano Choir, St. Vincent, Caetano Veloso, HAIM, Loop, Chvrches, Godspeed You!
