Watch The DFA Short Film Too Old To Be New, Too New To Be Classic, Narrated By Marc Maron
Too Old To Be New, Too New To Be Classic is a new short film from Red Bull Music Academy, one that charts the entire existence of the great New York label DFA. Max Joseph directed the film, which jumps around in time and features interviews with a ton of the people who have been associated with DFA over the years, including some truly wonderful footage of James Murphy discussing the flavor of peanut butter from the deck of a cruise ship. Marc Maron narrated the 13-minute song, which you can watch below.
DFA’s 12th anniversary show goes down 5/25 at Brooklyn’s ornate Grand Prospect Hall.
