Seattle Police Share Disparaging Note About Courtney Love Found In Kurt Cobain’s Wallet After His Death
Somehow, for reasons known only to themselves, the Seattle Police are still releasing details found at the scene of Kurt Cobain’s 1994 suicide. First, there were the death-scene photos, including some truly gruesome ones. And now, as CBS News reports, the Seattle PD has shared an image of a note that was found in Cobain’s wallet and probably written by Cobain. It’s about Courtney Love, or maybe about the public perception of his relationship with Courtney Love, and it’s not very nice: “Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawfully shredded wife even when she’s a bitch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring…” We don’t know whether the note was written angrily or sarcastically, whether it’s supposed to be funny, whether he wrote it with Love, or what the fuck was going on. And we don’t need to know. But it exists, so there you go.
UPDATE: Here’s the full note.
UPDATE 2: Author Charles R. Cross says Courtney wrote the letter.
UPDATE 3:: Love confirms she wrote the letter, duh: “Obviously I wrote it – don’t you guys understand sarcasm?”
