Last year, Devendra Banhart put out the new album Mala, which included the brief but chilling folk song "Golden Girls." Now, Liars -- who this year put out the great and overlooked album Mess -- have stretched that minute and a half to nearly 10 minutes in their sprawling remix. What begins as a minimal techno rework of the song eventually shifts into uneasy ambience before coming back to life as a percussive and creepy dance track that fits with the vibe of their new album. Listen to the remix, the original, and "Thank You For Being A Friend," the classic opening theme to the The Golden Girls, below.
