Giorgio Moroder Enlists Charli XCX, Sia, Britney Spears, Mikky Ekko For First Album In 30 Years
The legendary Giorgio Moroder experienced something of a career revival after his work on Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories, and now he’s announced that he’ll be releasing his first album in 30 years next spring. The record will feature contributions from Charli XCX, Sia, Britney Spears, Mikky Ekko, Kylie Minogue, and more. Along with the announcement, he’s shared a video for lead single “74 Is The New 24,” which was directed by Jai Lewis and features some digitally created eye-catching visuals. “Dance music doesn’t care where you live,” the producer said in a press release. “It doesn’t care who your friends are. It doesn’t care how much money you make. It doesn’t care if your (sic) 74 or if you are 24 because … 74 is the new 24!” You can watch and listen below.
The new album is expected out spring 2015 via RCA.
