Watch Hamilton Leithauser Cover Will Oldham’s “Trudy Dies”

Hamilton Leithauser -- Walkmen singer and solo artist in his own right -- sat down with Toronto radio station Indie88 last month for a Collective Arts Black Box Session. He did an impassioned cover of Will Oldham's "Trudy Dies," a rare B-side from the prolific folk singer that he recorded under his Palace Brothers moniker back in the early '90s. "I've never met the guy -- I don't know him at all -- but it seems like he makes the record he wants to make and he lives his own life in a way that I think, from an outsider's perspective, looks like a pretty appealing way to go about doing business," Leithauser explains before starting.
