Burnt Palms – “Fold”
Burnt Palms hail from Seaside, CA and they’re slated to release a new album titled Back On My Wall in the coming months. There’s nothing particularly revolutionary about the structure of the LP’s single “Fold,” but that should in no way discredit it. This is an acerbic, rudimentary punk song about a relationship’s devolution. But just because it’s simple and lyrically straight-forward doesn’t mean that “Fold” doesn’t uphold some relatable, universal themes. The line: “I have nothing to hold onto, there’s no meaning without you,” might seem like a mellow-dramatic analysis until you find yourself facing down comparable heartbreak. Only then does it become a truism. Listen below via Under The Radar.
