Littler – “Tectonics”
We’ve heard a ton of tracks from Littler’s debut album, Of Wandering, over the past few months — “Somewhere Else,” “Not My Market,” “Slippery,” “Of Wandering,” and “Phantom Limb” — and the Philly band is gifting us with one more before the record officially comes out next week. “Tectonics” is a quick but powerful one, as Madeline Meyer laments how the world moves too fast nowadays with a melodic pace to match. “Culture shifts like tectonics,” she underlines, implying how a lot of what we’ve been taught to believe may not be true: “We passed down ideas of success as if it’s for sure, but nothing’s ever for sure.” It’s another strong one from a very good band — listen via The Grey Estates below.
Of Wandering is out 3/25 via Birdtapes.
