New Order – “Singularity (Liars Remix)”

UK synthpop overlords New Order released their comeback album Music Complete, and they're about to devote a remix EP to "Singularity," the sparkling album track that's serving as the album's most recent single. They've made at least one deeply unconventional choice for that EP: The always-restless Liars have reworked the track, turning it into a wriggling, heaving beast of a thing. In Liars' hands, "Singularity" is still a beat-driven song, but it's sacrificed its melodic cleanliness for some glitched-out synth-rock burps. Check out the remix below.

The "Singularity" remix EP is out 3/25, and it'll also feature remixes from Erol Alkan, Mark Reeder, JS Zeiter, and Chemical Brother Tom Rowlands.
