“We Found Love” is absolutely the best song Calvin Harris has ever made, and it’s arguably Rihanna’s best, too. Last night, Calvin Harris closed the first weekend of Coachella, and in his set’s biggest moment, he brought Rihanna to the stage to sing the song. It’s actually the second time Harris has brought out Rihanna for a surprise Coachella appearance; she sang “We Found Love” and “Where Have You Been” in the dance tent with him in 2012. And she wasn’t Harris’ only guest last night; he also had appearances from Big Sean and John Newman. But this was still the big film-it-on-your-phone moment of the whole weekend. One of these years, Coachella should really get Rihanna to headline. I promise you that the kids who head out to the desert every year care a whole lot more about her than they do about, say, LCD Soundsystem.
