Watch Savages Play “Adore” On Ellen
It’s always cool when Savages bring their stark, dramatic postpunk to American late-night TV. The idea that they are now doing this shit on American daytime TV is just mind-boggling. And yet that’s what happened today. Ellen DeGeneres has invited a number of indie rock bands to perform on her show in the past few years, and on today’s show, she welcomed Savages, who played an authoritative version of “Adore,” the great slow-burner from their new album Adore Life. DeGeneres also said that she “loves” the band, and she shared a hug with frontwoman Jehnny Beth that didn’t even seem awkward. Watch the whole spectacle unfold below.
Adore Life is out now on Matador.
