Steve Gunn – “Park Bench Smile”
In a week and a half, the expansive, history-steeped guitar wizard Steve Gunn will release his new album Eyes On The Lines, and we’ve posted the early tracks “Conditions Wild” and “Ancient Jules.” The third song we’ve heard from the album is called “Park Bench Smile,” and it’s warm and spacey. You’d probably have to call it indie rock, but it pulls from folk and prog and classic rock. And even more than his friend Kurt Vile, Gunn sounds like a ’70s master who time-jumped to right now. Listen to “Park Bench Smile” below.
Eyes On the Lines is out 6/3 on Matador.
