Chvrches are the latest artists to participate in an episode of the Song Exploder podcast. All three members of the Scottish band sat down during SXSW this past March to break down their Every Open Eye highlight “Clearest Blue.” They share the original demo for the track, deconstruct the final version piece-by-piece, and explain its origins as a “laidback song” with “only two chords,” two attributes that are definitely not present in the album cut.
