Reunions, the latest album from Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, is as great as you’d hope it would be. We ranked it highly on our midyear roundup. If you haven’t checked it out yet, the band’s Colbert performances from last night might be a good entry point.

Throughout this coronavirus lockdown, Isbell and his wife, Amanda Shires, have been making the most of the unfortunate livestream situation. They’ve performed together from home, including on TV on multiple occasions. They played a release show for the album from an empty venue. They’ve participated in tributes to Kenny Rogers and John Prine. Now, they’ve gotten the rest of the band in on the action.

On Colbert’s remote Late Show, all six members of the 400 Unit performed Reunions track “Running With Our Eyes Closed” from separate locations. They tacked on “Overseas” for good measure.
