The Swedish pop-R&B singer and Sub Pop signee Waterbaby dropped two promising singles on us in 2025, "Amiss" and "Beck n Call." Today she's revealed that those songs are part of Memory Be A Blade, her new album dropping in March. Along with today's announcement comes the title track, the best of the bunch so far.
"Memory Be A Blade" finds Waterbaby singing softly and sweetly over a loose, minimal drumbeat laced with piano and strings. It feels elegant yet informal, and I imagine I'll be playing it back several more times today. The song arrives with a music video directed by Felix Scheynius, which you can watch below.
