A$AP Rocky's long-awaited new album Don't Be Dumb finally arrived this morning, but it's not the only exciting new rap record out today. Houston underground rap great Maxo Kream released the very good album Personification in 2024, and he followed it with the Tyler, The Creator-produced single "Cracc At 15" last year. Today, he drops a new song with JPEGMAFIA and Denzel Curry.
The new Maxo Kream single "Fake Jeezy" is a hammering, energetic banger that makes reference to the kind of stuff that Jeezy was making 20 years ago. The video stars a gigantic, angry CGI snowman fighting some helicopters. Maxo and Denzel Curry both got nuts over JPEGMAFIA's hammering, Lex Luger-esque track. JPEGMAFIA's production is a lot less chaotic and more straightforward than most of his stuff. Peggy doesn't rap on the song, but he's in the video, which you can see below.
Yesterday, Maxo Kream also pulled a Chalamet and posted a fake marketing Zoom call on Instagram.
