Tame Impala's bush doof-influenced album Deadbeat wasn't exactly a critical favorite, but Kevin Parker is beyond the point where that even matters. He's got normal people on board. He doesn't need us. The Deadbeat track "Dracula" broke containment, showed up on a million Halloween playlists, and became Tame Impala's first-ever Hot 100 hit, reaching a lofty peak of #30. Now, the song might go even higher, since Tame Impala just released a new "Dracula" remix that features the gigantic K-pop star Jennie.
Jennie, as you may be aware, is one quarter of Blackpink, and she released her guest-heavy solo debut Ruby last year. She's high up on some of this summer festival lineups, and now she's got another track that'll get a guaranteed reaction. The new "Dracula" remix speeds the tempo up a bit and turns the track even clubbier, and it's got Jennie adding pillowy vocals and a tiny bit of quasi-rapping. Hear it below.
There's other Tame Impala stuff going on, too. On Sunday, Kevin Parker won the Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for the second year in a row, and he also did some subtle promo for this remix (or maybe Jennie just gave him a shirt to wear).

Parker's Orchid synth has been on the market for a while, and last week Forbes reported that it sold over 10,000 units in a year, earning $12 million for Parker's company Telepathic Instruments.
