Jawdropped are moving up in the world. The charged-up young LA power pop band formed in 2024. Last year, they released their debut EP Just Fantasy, and we were into it. Now, Jawdropped have signed with Transgressive/Canvasback, and they've got another new track out in the world. It's a good one.
The new Jawdropped single "Monday" is about a very specific moment, the time right before you tell someone something really really important. Opening lines: "I can’t wait for Monday 'cause that’s gonna be the day/ That I say the one thing, the one thing I gotta say." The song has a whole lot of verve and energy, but there's a certain anxiety built right into it.
In a press release, the band says, "'Monday' is about treading the waters of anticipation, but deciding to face your feelings head on. The truth will set you free, even if it’s just the Sunday scaries." Below, check out the Rob Fraebel-directed "Monday" video and the band's upcoming shows.
