They’re Playing Magic: The Gathering In The Turnstile Pit

Last month, Turnstile released the star-studded reimagined version of last year's Never Enough. Their equally stacked tour kicked off last week, and it looks like fans are playing Magic: The Gathering in the pit.

A TikTok shows concertgoers at the band's Toronto show on Saturday (Sept. 12) partaking in the trading card game during the Never Enough track "Magic Man" (fitting). Radio 1's Jack Saunders, who does a lot of Magic: The Gathering content on social media, opened some packs with Turnstile earlier this year.

Many musicians are into MTG: Post Malone (who paid $2 million for one-of-a-kind The One Ring card in 2023), Foxing (who released their own playable deck the same year), DIIV's Zachary Cole Smith and Storefront Chuch's Lukas Frank (who together launched MTG-themed Thoughtseize Interviews with artists like Dijon on YouTube a few years ago), Denzel Curry, Flume, and Rivers Cuomo. Charli XCX recently told Saunders that the "Magic" in "Magic Metal Montana" refers to A. G.'s interest in the game. And Drake has been enjoying the game with his new goth girlfriend. The game has also been played in Machine Girl pits. But were those attendees also doing pushups in the pit?
