Zach Bryan Wears “Free Palestine” Shirt At Robert Kraft’s Gillette Stadium

9:53 AM EDT on October 3, 2026

Last month, Macklemore was kicked off Ed Sheeran's tour after Robert Kraft, the owner of Massachusetts' Gillette Stadium, was unhappy with the rapper's pro-Palestine activism during his performances. Sheeran has subsequently faced lots of backlash for his persistent refusal to take a stance on genocide, whereas Macklemore announced a Free Palestine Tour. On Friday (Oct. 2), country superstar Zach Bryan wore a Free Palestine shirt at his Gillette Stadium show.

Bryan is currently on his With Heaven On Tour. His political views have been hard to read especially since he put out a song with anti-ICE lyrics a year ago and then, after criticism from the Department of Homeland Security, he said the song's meaning was being "misconstrued." But Macklemore took notice of Bryan's shirt in an Instagram Story, and some of Bryan's bandmates were wearing Palestine shirts as well. Guitarist Noah Le Gros and drummer Steve Clark wore jerseys from Wear The Peace. It's unclear if Kraft would have banned Macklemore had he only said "Free Palestine" and not also performed "Hind's Hall," a song that mentions genocide alongside videos. But it was still a powerful message from Bryan. He plays Gillette Stadium again tonight.
