Bob Dylan Center Announces Lineup For Blonde On Blonde 60th Anniversary Tribute Concert

Last winter, the Bob Dylan Center in Tulsa put on an all-star tribute concert marking the 50th anniversary of Dylan's Blood On The Tracks. Elvis Costello, Sharon Van Etten, Lucinda Williams, Adam Granduciel and many more were on hand at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa to pay homage to Dylan's 1975 breakup-album masterpiece. In November, the center revealed plans for a similar event celebrating the 60th(!) anniversary of 1966's raucous and expansive double album Blonde On Blonde was in the works for Feb. 20 at the same venue. Today, we learn the lineup.

Sooner Or Later: Celebrating The 60th Anniversary Of Blonde On Blonde will be emceed by The Daily Show's Jordan Klepper, with a North Carolina-based house band featuring Chatham County Line, Phil Cook, Darren Jessee, and Michael Libramento working under music director Doug Keith. Listed in alphabetical-ish order, the featured players this time include the Cactus Blossoms, X's Exene Cervenka and John Doe, Fantastic Negrito, the Hold Steady's Craig Finn, Joy Harjo, La Marisoul, the Walkmen's Hamilton Leithauser, the McCrary Sisters, Nellie McKay, Natalie Merchant, Willie Nile, and Chuck Prophet.

A ticket presale for Bob Dylan Center members in good standing as of last Friday, Jan. 9 will kick off this Wednesday, Jan. 14. Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the public this Friday, Jan. 16.
